An easy and tasty recipe, honey and mustard pair perfectly with pork, and at the end of cooking, you will get a delicious creamy sauce with the scent of orange.

Ingredients

  • 0.88 lbs Pork Stew
  • 1 tbsp Acacia Honey (or chestnut honey)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 small glass Orange Juice (small)
  • 2 tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt (a little)
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  • Take a small bowl and mix well the honey, oil, salt, pepper, mustard, and orange juice. Marinate the pork stew pieces in the prepared emulsion for at least 40 minutes.

  • If you prefer, you can use a food bag, as shown in the photo.

  • After the indicated time, place the stew with its sauce in an oiled baking pan, in a preheated oven at 356°F/392°F, for about 40/50 minutes

  • Remove the stew from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes and Tips

I recommend salting the stew lightly: all cuts of pork are naturally rich in potassium and low in sodium, and this is an advantage that should be maintained by avoiding the addition of salt: the mustard already adds a lot of flavor (see here).

If you like a thicker sauce, you can add a bit of flour, sprinkling the stew before cooking it, making sure to remove all the excess flour which could burn during browning.
