Ingredients
- 3.2 oz walnuts (shelled)
- 5.3 oz pitted dates
- 2 eggs
- 3.5 oz brown sugar
- 3.5 oz butter (+ as needed)
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour (+ 1 tablespoon)
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 pinch fine salt
- 1 cup semi-skimmed milk

- 1 Loaf Pan
- 1 Sieve
Preparation of Plumcake with Walnuts and Dates
In the mixer bowl, crack 2 eggs and add the brown sugar.
Start the mixer and mix until the eggs and sugar are well combined.
Now add the softened butter and mix until smooth and fluffy.
Now add the all-purpose flour and sifted baking powder.
Mix everything well.
Then pour the milk little by little so that it is well absorbed into the mixture.
Pit the dates and cut them into slices.
Shell the walnuts and chop them coarsely.
Then add the walnuts and dates to the plumcake mixture
Grease and flour a loaf pan, then pour in the mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven at 338°F for 40 minutes.
Once cooked, turn off the oven, open the door and let cool completely before unmolding.
And voilà… your plumcake with walnuts and dates is ready to be enjoyed.
Useful Tips
Always do the toothpick test before unmolding to see if the plumcake is cooked.
If you don’t like walnuts, you can use hazelnuts or other nuts of your choice.
