Orange, lemon, and mandarin peel powder. A jar of Sicilian fragrance to keep for special occasions like Christmas, sweets or savory dishes. Naturally, I wasn’t aware of it. I was inspired by a recipe I saw on the web, I never thought of making orange peel powder. Having organic oranges, it felt like a waste to throw away such goodness! I made candied peels, the marmalade, and now also the orange powder. I believe I have a magic jar at home, just open it, and the strong scent of citrus fills the air. Ingredients
- 3 1/2 oz orange peel
- 1 3/4 oz lemon peel
- 1 3/4 oz mandarin peel

Preparation
The first and most important thing is to peel the oranges, making sure not to leave the white part. It’s too bitter.
As you see, I have arranged the orange peels on the baking tray with parchment paper. Let them dry for 2 hours in the oven at 175°F.
Here they are ready.
Use a mixer to grind the orange peels into powder. Since I have a homogenizer, I used that.

I deliberately did not grind the dried orange peels further, but you can do so if you prefer.
