Cauliflower alla pizzaiola is a tasty side dish, full of flavor and easy to make.
Cauliflower, tomato sauce, mozzarella and little else for a dish cooked in a very tasty and delicious pan, very easy to make, perfect to accompany any type of second course, but also just to enjoy with good homemade bread.

Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower
- 1 1/4 cups tomato sauce
- 7 oz mozzarella
- pecorino (grated)
- capers
- basil
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of Cauliflower alla Pizzaiola
Wash the cauliflower and remove the leaves and core, then cut it into slices about half an inch thick.
Heat a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large pan.
Place the cauliflower slices on the bottom of the pan, covering it completely, lightly salt and let it cook over high heat, covering the pan with a lid, for about ten minutes.After this time, turn the slices over to the other side and cover them with tomato sauce, lightly salt, then add a handful of capers, a sprinkle of grated pecorino, the drained mozzarella cut into pieces and some torn basil leaves.
Cover the pan again with the lid and cook for another ten minutes, slightly lowering the heat.
Remove the lid and let the cooking liquid dry for five minutes.
Turn off the heat, let it cool slightly and serve your cauliflower alla pizzaiola.
