White Rice Timbale

Ingredients

  • 8.5 oz risotto rice
  • 2.5 cups vegetable broth
  • 3.5 tbsp butter
  • 7 oz mozzarella
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • 1 cup béchamel sauce
  • breadcrumbs

Preparation of White Rice Timbale

  • Heat the broth in a pot and melt the butter in small pieces in it.
    When it boils, add the rice, lower the heat and let it cook until the rice has absorbed all the broth.
    Turn off the heat and set aside.

  • Cut the mozzarella into pieces and chop the cooked ham.
    Grease and sprinkle a round pan, 8 inches in diameter, with breadcrumbs, then pour half of the rice and level it.
    Pour some béchamel sauce in the rice shell, then the mozzarella, the cooked ham, and a little more béchamel sauce.

  • Cover everything with the remaining rice, leveling it to avoid holes, and sprinkle the surface with more breadcrumbs.
    Bake in a preheated static oven at 400°F for twenty-five minutes, until golden.
    Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve your white rice timbale.
