They are naturally gluten-free, incredibly versatile, and capable of transforming, with very few ingredients, into truly amazing recipes. When cooked, they become crispy and golden, while remaining soft and delicious inside: a texture that wins you over at the first bite.

In a sweet version, I think they give their best. Just banana and chocolate are enough to create simple yet satisfying treats, perfect when you crave something good without spending hours in the kitchen.

The air fryer is the real ally: no traditional frying, less fat, and still a super crispy result.

Ingredients

  • 4 rice paper
  • 1 banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • as needed dark chocolate chips

Steps

  • In a bowl, beat the egg with the milk.
    Dip a rice sheet in the mixture just long enough to soften it.

  • Place the sheet on a work surface or on a plate.

    In the center, arrange some slices of banana and add the chocolate chips.
    Fold the sheet to form a well-sealed package.

    Continue in the same way until you have used up all the ingredients.

    Place the packages in the basket of the air fryer lined with parchment paper.
    Cook at 356°F for 15 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.
    They should be golden and crispy.

Storage and Tips…

Rice sheets with bananas and chocolate can be stored in the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for 1 day.

To regain crispiness, heat them in the air fryer at 338°F for 3–4 minutes before serving.
Freezing is not recommended as the rice sheet tends to become rubbery.
