Cookies with Seed Oil

in

The cookies with seed oil are light, crunchy, and fragrant: they are made without butter, using seed oil that gives a delicate taste and perfect texture.

Ideal for breakfast or for a simple and genuine snack.

The cookies with seed oil are very simple treats that you can make without using cookie cutters or other molds.

Just roll the dough between your hands to create small balls.

I always prepare them plain, very basic, homemade, and genuine.

This time, I also added some colorful sprinkles, because I was expecting friends with children and I thought of making them more cheerful.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup seed oil
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Half packet baking powder (8g)
  • lemon zest (grated)
  • to taste colorful sprinkles (optional)

Tools

To make the oil cookies, you will simply need a bowl, a fork or whisk to mix, our hands to continue. A baking tray to place the cookies

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Mat silicone or parchment paper

Steps

Let’s see the simple steps to make them

  • In the bowl, arrange the flour and sifted baking powder into a well (making a hole in the center).

The first ingredients you will pour in the middle of the flour are the eggs with sugar and mix.

I use 1/4 cup of sugar because I don’t like to make my preparations too sweet, if you prefer, you can go up to 6 tablespoons of sugar.

Add the oil and grated lemon zest and continue to mix using the fork.

When the dough becomes too firm for the fork, proceed to knead with your hands.

Shape the dough into a ball and put it in the fridge for about half an hour. If you’re in a hurry, you can skip this step.

Then take the dough and break off small pieces to shape them into balls between your hands.

Once the ball is ready, roll it in the sprinkles and place it on the baking tray.

Preheat the oven to 340 degrees Fahrenheit with fan mode and proceed with baking.

It will take about 13 minutes. Depending on your oven it might take a few minutes less or a few minutes more.

  • Are you ready to taste them? These cookies with seed oil will be perfect for any break in your day.

They are the cookies I love to make the most for our daily routine, where taste and indulgence must never be lacking but nutritional awareness is also important.

How to Store Cookies with Seed Oil

Cookies with seed oil must be completely cooled before storing them, make sure they are cold and dry.

If they are even slightly warm, they will develop condensation and become soft.

Place the cookies in a tin box or a glass/plastic airtight container.

Tin boxes are ideal for maintaining crispness.

Airtight containers protect them from moisture.

bricciola

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
