Baked Leeks Au Gratin

Baked leeks au gratin are a simple and wholesome side dish, perfect for bringing the full flavor of seasonal vegetables to the table.

Leek is one of the stars of winter vegetables: delicate, slightly sweet, and rich in beneficial properties. In this recipe, it is enhanced and flavored with a few traditional ingredients – butter, parmesan, and breadcrumbs – which transform it into a tasty dish.

It is an easy-to-prepare side dish that can complement meat or fish main courses. Baked leeks are a very simple dish that can also be made in advance!

With leeks, I also make a tasty little recipe: I cut them lengthwise into strips without using the green part, then quickly flour them and fry! They crunch when eaten and with a pinch of salt, they’re so good!!!

In this recipe, you need to blanch the leeks

Blanch: A preliminary operation before cooking, where the chosen food is immersed in a pot with boiling water and drained after a few minutes to soften it, enhance its color, remove excess salt or fat, or make it easier to peel.
