The homemade cake with a thousand scents is a very simple cake that feels like home.

The thousand scents are given by a combination of citrus peels and essences, which have made it the homemade cake that everyone can prepare.

My desserts are always low in sugar, because in my opinion a cake, a cookie, a dessert, should not be good because of the sugar but due to the flavors they release. Ingredients

Let’s see the ingredients we need to prepare the recipe

  • 2 eggs
  • sugar (1/4 cup)
  • seed oil (1/3 cup)
  • water (3/4 cup)
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • orange essence (1 full vial)
  • Half orange (juice + grated peel)
  • lemon (grated peel)
  • all-purpose flour (2 1/2 cups)
  • potato starch (1/3 cup)
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • to taste colored sprinkles
  • to taste hazelnuts
  • to taste chocolate chips

Tools

You will need an electric mixer with beaters.

Steps

  • First, take a container and pour in the eggs (which you have left at room temperature) along with the sugar. Beat them until they are nice and light and frothy.

    Now add a pinch of salt, the oil, water, orange essence vial, citrus peels, and orange juice. Mix well. Now let’s incorporate the sifted flour and potato starch. Lastly, the packet of vanilla baking powder.

    Continue to mix the batter until it is nice and smooth and frothy.

  • Now take the pan, butter it and flour it. I used a mold of 8 2/3 inches in diameter. Spread the batter and let’s decorate with lots of cheerful colors. I used sugar sprinkles, chocolate chips, and hazelnuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F in static mode for about 40/45 minutes.

    Always do the toothpick test before turning off the oven. The cake should be dry, and the toothpick should not stick. Everyone should adjust according to their own oven.

    Remove from the oven, let it cool down, and enjoy this very simple but wonderfully fragrant cake that feels like home.
