Baked Anchovies

in

The baked anchovies are a wholesome second course, easy to make and especially rich in beneficial properties of bluefish.

I love anchovies and enjoy preparing them in a tasty way yet always consciously.

Of course, frying is delicious but believe me, even baked, they will remain very pleasant to taste.

If you love fish and the recipes involving it, here are some more dish suggestions for you to prepare:

  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 3 People
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Spring, Summer, and Fall

Ingredients

  • 24.7 oz anchovies
  • to taste type 1 flour
  • to taste rice flour
  • to taste salt
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste lemon

Tools

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Colander

Steps

  • First, we need to focus on cleaning the anchovies.

I do this step myself, but if you don’t know how, get help from the fish market where you buy them.

Usually, if you ask, they’ll do this operation for the customer.

So, once the anchovies are cleaned, leave only the central bone, rinse them again under water, and let them drain.

When they are ready I pat them dry with paper towels to make them as dry as possible.

  • In a bowl, mix together type zero flour, one (whatever you have at home), rice flour, and salt.

Place the anchovies inside and coat them in this powder mix.

Once ready, spread the fish on parchment paper and add a drizzle of oil on both sides.

Turn on the oven in convection mode.

Once the oven is at temperature, cook at 356°F for about 13 minutes.

Once cooked, adjust the salt if needed, add lemon, and enjoy.

    Enjoy your meal

bricciola

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
