Gratinated portobello mushrooms are a tasty and flavorful side dish, easy to prepare and perfect with any meat main course. Perfect with pork saltimbocca or sausage in sauce, they can also be served with vegetarian mains like omelets.
It’s a very simple dish to prepare: you can cook the mushrooms either in the oven or in an air fryer, and the recipe provides both instructions. The filling is flavorful, made with the mushroom stems, bread, cheese, garlic, and parsley.
I used portobello mushrooms because they are very large and meaty, perfect for this preparation, but nothing prevents you from using champignons.
