Almond Milk BIMBY is a plant-based beverage simply made by blending almonds with water and straining the mixture. It’s a great alternative to cow’s milk, especially for those who are lactose intolerant, like me, or follow a vegan diet. And don’t worry: if you don’t have a Bimby, you can use a very powerful blender.

Almond milk, correctly called almond beverage, has a delicate flavor and is very versatile. You can use it to prepare smoothies and shakes, plant-based yogurts, or even in dessert recipes like cakes and puddings. It’s also great to drink on its own for breakfast or to enrich smoothies and frappes. And if you don’t add sugar, you can also use it for savory preparations, like béchamel, replacing milk.
I find making almond milk with the Bimby very convenient. You can increase or decrease the amount of almonds and sugar according to your personal taste.
To make it smooth and velvety, I used a fabric filter that I recommend: it is also very useful for filtering fruit juices. You can reuse the leftover almond pulp by adding it to cake and cookie batter or mixing it with yogurt.
