Chocolate-covered strawberries are delicious fruit treats, very simple to prepare. With the same technique, you can also cover banana slices, tangerine segments, or the fruit of your choice.
This dessert is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a party, a dinner with friends, or a romantic moment. The fresh, sweet, and juicy strawberries pair perfectly with melted chocolate, creating a contrast of flavors and textures that always wins.
Preparing them is easy and fun; you only need two ingredients: strawberries and chocolate. I added some small marshmallows, but they’re delicious even without them!

Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberries
- 7 oz 55% dark chocolate
- marshmallows (optional)
Preparation of Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Wash the strawberries and dry them gently. Chop the chocolate and melt it in a double boiler, in a bowl placed over a saucepan of boiling water, or in the microwave, running it for 30 seconds and stirring until it’s melted.
Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper. If you want, at this point, when the chocolate is still soft, you can add the small marshmallows.
Take a spoonful of the remaining chocolate and drizzle it over the strawberries to create lines (this is just a decoration that you can skip if you want).
Place the tray in the fridge until the chocolate has solidified.
Remove the strawberries from the fridge 20 minutes before serving, or they will be too cold.
FAQ
Can I use milk chocolate?
Yes, of course. Substitute it for the dark chocolate in the same amount.
