Peas in a pan, a tasty and quick side dish, perfect to pair with meat, eggs, or fish. In spring you can use fresh peas, but throughout the year you can find frozen ones, which are just as good.
If you want to enrich this dish, you can add cubes of bacon or pancetta. In this case, I decided to leave them as is.
Obviously, peas cooked this way can serve as a base for other recipes, like savory pies or pasta dishes!

Preparation of Peas in a Pan
Peel the onion and chop it into pieces. I left them coarse, but if you prefer, you can finely chop it. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onion for a couple of minutes.
Add the peas and let them cook over medium heat, covered, for 5 minutes. Then gently stir, season with salt, and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes.
The peas in a pan are ready, serve them hot.
