The pan-seared mashed sweet potatoes are a simple side dish and quick to make, suitable to serve with any dish. I flavored them with smoked paprika which I really like, it gives them an extra taste but it’s not essential, you can also do without it.
Besides serving as a side dish, these sweet potatoes are also delicious in a tortilla, with ham and cheese.
Did you know that sweet potatoes can also be eaten raw? They are not true potatoes but are very similar in shape. I like them a lot, like all sweet vegetables, and today I decided to prepare them in a pan, it only takes a few minutes.

How to Prepare Pan-seared Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces (the smaller they are, the less they will need to cook), then place them in a pan with a drizzle of oil and cook over low heat. Add a little water and cook covered until tender, it will only take a few minutes.
Add salt, pepper, paprika, and mash them with a spoon. The sweet potatoes are ready to be served.
