Nutella Puff Pastry Stars, last-minute treats made with only two ingredients, perfect for when you’re craving something sweet or have unexpected guests. Besides being cute, these stars are made in just a few minutes.
If you don’t have a star cookie cutter, you can use any other shape. I made them like this because it’s almost Christmas and I liked the idea of stars.
I used ready-rolled puff pastry, but if you prefer, you can also make puff pastry at home. It takes a bit longer, but with proper planning for rest times, it’s worth it. With these quantities, I got 18 stars.

How to Make Nutella Puff Pastry Stars
Making these treats is really easy, start by unrolling the puff pastry.
Spread the Nutella on half of the pastry and fold it, pressing lightly to make it stick.
Cut out stars, trying to leave little waste between each one.
Place the stars spaced apart on a baking tray with parchment paper and add the cut-off parts, they may not look as nice but are just as delicious!
Bake the Nutella Puff Pastry Stars in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C), fan mode for about 20 minutes.
Let them cool completely before serving, if you like you can add powdered sugar.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use jam instead of Nutella?
Of course! Use the jam or preserve you like. I’ve tried with strawberry jam, and they’re delicious!
I don’t have a star cutter, what can I do?
You can use a regular cookie cutter, even a round one, or you can cut the pastry into squares with a knife.
