Gratinated polenta stars with cacio e pepe, a quick appetizer to prepare and very tasty. These polenta stars are perfect for the holiday table or for an aperitif with friends.
Soft inside and crispy outside, peppery and flavorful, they are easy to make and prepare in no time. You can use instant polenta as I did or use pre-sliced polenta, in which case it will take even less time!
To prepare the polenta stars you will need a star-shaped cookie cutter, but if you don’t have one, you can use a round one or cut the polenta into diamond shapes with a knife. You can gratinate the polenta either in the oven or in an air fryer, I used the latter to shorten the time.
