Fried eggs with cooked ham, a quick yet substantial second course to whip up a dinner even when the fridge is almost empty.
Fried eggs, also known as sunny-side-up or fried eggs, are one of the simplest dishes to make, and with the addition of ham, they become a delight. Sometimes I don’t manage to go grocery shopping due to lack of time, and I solve it with recipes like this one.
You can use butter or oil, I prefer the latter but both ways work well.
A tasty recipe you can serve with a slice of bread to mop up the sauce, some vegetables to complete the dish, and dinner is ready in minutes!

How to Prepare Fried Eggs with Ham
Heat a drizzle of oil in the pan and crack the eggs. Cook on very low heat with the lid on until your preferred level of doneness, I like the yolk runny but the white well-cooked, and add a pinch of salt, then turn off the heat.
Cut the ham into strips, place them on the egg, add a grind of pepper on the yolk, and serve immediately.
FAQ
Can I substitute cooked ham with another cold cut?
Absolutely! Use prosciutto or speck for a stronger flavor.
