Gnocchi alla sorrentina in air fryer

Sorrentina-style gnocchi with melted mozzarella in an air fryer, a great first course, ideal for Sunday lunch. It’s a very simple recipe: potato gnocchi dressed with tomato sauce and baked with mozzarella and grated cheese. Soft and tasty with a nice flavorful crust that will surprise you with their goodness.

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbs potato gnocchi
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsps grated Grana Padano
  • 7 oz mozzarella
  • 2 leaves basil
  • 1 drizzle olive oil
  • salt

How to prepare Gnocchi alla sorrentina in air fryer

  • Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pot, add the tomato sauce, a pinch of salt, and basil leaves. Let the sauce cook with the lid on for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

    Bring salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to the instructions on the package. Usually, it takes a couple of minutes, when they float to the top, they’re ready.

    Drain the gnocchi and place them in a bowl with the tomato sauce. Mix well and pour half of the gnocchi into the baking pan.

  • Add half of the cubed mozzarella and cover with the remaining gnocchi. Finish with the remaining mozzarella and grated cheese.

    Cook for 10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
