Savory Croissants with Goat Cheese and Walnuts

Savory puff pastry croissants filled with goat cheese and walnuts, both soft and crunchy at the same time, for a mouth-watering appetizer or aperitif.

These savory croissants can also be prepared in advance and frozen raw, so they are always ready and can be cooked as needed. Just let them thaw on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook them as indicated in the recipe.

The filling is very tasty: the combination of goat cheese and walnuts is spectacular, and if you prefer a milder flavor you can use cow’s milk goat cheese or robiola.

I often prepare puff pastry snacks because they are always welcomed for an aperitif and quick to make. The pre-rolled puff pastry is very convenient, but this time I used homemade puff pastry that I still had in the freezer. You can use whichever you prefer.

This is a really simple and quick snack that the whole family will enjoy. In the kitchen, let your imagination run wild because it’s essential and if you don’t have ideas, follow me, I’ll give you the tips!
