Air Fryer Roasted Peppers

Roasted Peppers are a simple and versatile summer side dish that you can pair with many different dishes, and with the air fryer, they will be ready in under 30 minutes.

Preparing roasted peppers in the air fryer allows us to halve the cooking time compared to oven-baked peppers, thus speeding up the dish preparation. I didn’t used to make them often, maybe due to the long cooking time or not wanting to turn on the oven just for 2 peppers. Now, however, I’m experimenting; when I’m unsure about a side dish, I put them in the fryer and off they go. The recipe is so simple that I didn’t know whether to write it or not, but I thought it might be useful to someone to know the cooking times and temperatures, so here it is!

You can use these peppers as a base for other recipes like rolls or blend them with ricotta to dress pasta. I simply dressed them with oil and parsley and ate them like that.

How to Make Air Fryer Roasted Peppers

  • Preheat the air fryer for 4 minutes at 392°F.

    After washing the peppers, place them whole in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes at 374°F, turning them halfway through cooking.

    Once the time is up, remove them and let them cool slightly. Remove the skin, stem, and seeds.

  • Cut the peppers into slices, place them in a bowl, and season with oil, salt, and chopped parsley. Mix well and store in the fridge until ready to use.
