Pico de gallo is a traditional Mexican side dish made with tomatoes, onions, chili peppers, and seasoned with salt and lime juice. This very fresh salsa can be used as a side for tortilla, burrito, and tacos, or served with simple croutons for a quick appetizer.
Delicious and colorful, it’s perfect for a cocktail with friends, perhaps served alongside guacamole before a Mexican dinner.

Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 white onion
- 2 sweet chili peppers
- 1 hot chili pepper
- salt
- 1 lime
Preparation of Pico de gallo
Cut the tomatoes, onion, and sweet peppers into small pieces, after removing the seeds.
Chop the parsley, hot chili pepper, and place all the vegetables in a bowl, then add the lime juice, adjust with salt and mix.
Serve the pico de gallo with corn chips.
Serve the salsa as a side to tortillas, fajitas, or burritos.
