- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- to taste Nutella®
- to taste powdered sugar
Steps
Nutella puff pastries are super easy and quick to make. First, unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 4 horizontal and 3 vertical parts to make 12 small rectangles.
Make small cuts on one-third of each piece of pastry and fill the opposite side (another third) with a bit of Nutella (I used a piping bag to keep it clean).
Brush all the edges with beaten egg and close the Nutella puff pastries by folding the filled side first and then the cut side over it.
Seal the edges well with a fork and brush the surface with the remaining beaten egg.
Place the Nutella puff pastries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes, until golden. If you like, finish them with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Tips:
Store Nutella puff pastries at room temperature for 3/4 days. If you don’t want to use the piping bag, simply use a teaspoon to add the Nutella.
