The beer onion fritters are delicious and extremely tasty fritters with onions in the batter, made with a batter without eggs but with cold beer in the batter. I have prepared many rustic fritters, I love onions, especially when fried, and I wanted to make some soft and crunchy beer onion fritters that I served with yogurt sauce, and they were literally devoured! Super fast and super tasty, beer onion fritters are perfect as an appetizer or vegan/vegetarian main course, perfect even for an aperitif, they are prepared in 5 minutes and will disappear in a flash, one leads to another!

Ingredients
- 7 oz cold beer (cold)
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 onions
- Half packet instant yeast for savory preparations
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- to taste paprika
Instructions
Beer onion fritters are very simple and quick to prepare. First, put the flour, instant yeast for savory preparations, salt, black pepper, and paprika in a bowl and mix.
Add the cold beer and form a smooth batter without lumps, then incorporate the cleaned and thinly sliced onions.
Take a spoonful of batter and drop it into the hot oil, let the beer onion fritters cook on medium heat until golden, about 2/4 minutes per side.
Once cooked, drain the beer onion fritters on absorbent paper and serve them.
Tips:
The beer onion fritters can be kept at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. You can add any spices you like. They cannot be baked or cooked in an air fryer. If you don’t want to use beer, use water, preferably sparkling. Yeast may not be necessary, but I recommend using it to make the fritters puffier and more even, which will cook perfectly without burning, given that there are more onions than batter.
