The coconut and chocolate balls with yogurt are no-bake treats that are easy, very quick, and super delicious, with a crunchy shell and a soft and creamy center. I love coconut desserts, especially when fresh. I really like this ingredient combined with yogurt and chocolate, so I decided to make these very tempting and chocolaty desserts, without sugar and without butter. The coconut and chocolate balls are perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or for afternoon tea. You can use any nuts and chocolate you prefer (I used everything left over from Easter eggs: milk, white, and dark chocolate), one ball leads to another!

Ingredients
- 7 oz chocolate
- 2/3 cup plain unsweetened yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 1/4 cups desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup hazelnut granules
- 1 tbsp honey
Steps
The coconut and chocolate balls are very simple and quick to make. First, put the plain unsweetened yogurt (or Greek yogurt), honey, and desiccated coconut in a bowl and mix to obtain a soft and homogeneous dough.
Scoop a little dough with a teaspoon, quickly compact it with your hands, and form a ball. Once you’ve made all the balls, place them on a tray and put them in the freezer for a few minutes, just enough time to prepare the chocolate.
Melt your preferred chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler (I made a mix of white, milk, and dark chocolate) and add the hazelnut granules (or almonds, pistachios, or other nuts).
Take the balls, pierce them with a toothpick, and dip them in the chocolate, coating them evenly.
Place the coconut and chocolate balls on a sheet of parchment paper and let them set in the fridge for about half an hour (or in the freezer for about ten minutes).
Tips:
The coconut and chocolate balls can be stored in the refrigerator for 4/5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you use already sweetened yogurt, you can omit the honey. If you prefer, you can also use coconut, vanilla, or any other flavored yogurt you like. For the coating, you can choose your preferred chocolate or nuts.
