Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg
- as needed Nutella®
- as needed coconut flakes
- as needed powdered sugar
Steps
Banana and Nutella puff pastries are super easy and quick to prepare; first, peel the bananas and cut them into small pieces.
Unroll the puff pastry sheet and spread a bit of Nutella over the entire surface (if it’s not creamy enough, heat it briefly in the microwave or in a double boiler).
Add coconut flakes and, along the bottom edge, make two strips with the banana slices.
Starting from the side with the fruit, roll the pastry to form a log.
Brush the roll with beaten egg, cut it into pieces about 1 inch thick, and sprinkle some coconut flakes on top.
Place the banana and Nutella puff pastries on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until they’re golden brown.
Finish the banana and Nutella puff pastries with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes:
Banana and Nutella puff pastries can be stored at room temperature for a day or in the fridge for 2-3 days. You can replace the coconut flakes with almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, or other nuts as you prefer.
