Ricotta and chocolate treats are clever, delicious, and super easy sweet squares with no baking needed. Ricotta and chocolate is a combination I love, and I thought of combining these ingredients to create soft, light treats that melt in your mouth. You can prepare ricotta and chocolate treats in 5 minutes with just 2 ingredients, namely dark chocolate and ricotta, and they are perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a treat. Try them because you’ll love them!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ricotta
  • 9 oz dark chocolate

Steps

  • ● Ricotta and chocolate treats are super easy and quick to prepare. For this recipe, the ricotta must be very dry; if you take it fresh, let it drain a bit before using it (an entire night would be ideal).

  • ● Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. In a bowl, place the well-drained ricotta, the melted dark chocolate, and quickly mix the two ingredients using a fork, ensuring there are no lumps.

  • ● Transfer the mixture into a dish lined with plastic wrap and level it well.

  • ● Place the dessert in the fridge to rest for at least 2 hours before unmolding it, so it will compact well. The longer it stays in the fridge, the more compact it will become.

  • ● Once well chilled, unmold the dessert and cut it into pieces. Here are our delicious ricotta and chocolate treats ready.

Notes:

Ricotta and chocolate treats can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. Instead of dark chocolate, you can also use milk chocolate. I don’t recommend substituting the ricotta, but if you must, you can use mascarpone.
