Ingredients
- 9 oz phyllo dough (11 sheets)
- 5 oz plain natural yogurt
- 3.5 tbsps milk
- 3.5 tbsps sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 apple
- 1 lemon
- to taste jam
- to taste vanilla
- to taste powdered sugar
Steps
The phyllo dough cake with jam and apples is very simple and quick to prepare, first prepare the batter: put the eggs, milk, yogurt, sugar, vanilla, grated lemon zest in a bowl and mix all the ingredients, using a fork.
Peel the apple, cut it into thin slices and season with the juice of half a lemon. Take a phyllo dough sheet and crumple it on itself, repeat this operation for all the other sheets.
Lightly oil a non-stick pan with a drop of seed oil, place all the crumpled phyllo dough sheets inside and add some jam here and there (use a teaspoon, put it wherever you want, both on top and in the folds).
Also add the apple slices, pour over the previously prepared batter (making sure to cover all the phyllo dough, use a kitchen brush to spread it well) and bake the phyllo dough cake with jam and apples in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30/35 minutes, it should be well golden.
Unmold the phyllo dough cake with jam and apples and garnish it with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Advice:
The phyllo dough cake with jam and apples can be stored at room temperature for 3/4 days. You can use any flavor of jam you like, I used peach. You can also omit the apples or replace them with pears or other fruit to your liking. If you don’t want to use yogurt (Greek yogurt is also fine), replace it with 4.5 oz of milk.
