Cutlets with Meat Sauce

The cutlets with meat sauce are a very quick recipe, very simple to prepare, and truly delicious. I wanted a tasty recipe for dinner and made cutlets with sandwich bread, stuffed with mozzarella, a sprinkle of parmesan, and meat sauce. I used Il Mio Gran Ragù Star Extra Gusto, a sauce made with 100% Italian meat and as good as homemade. Its creamy and very tasty flavor makes these cutlets with meat sauce truly delicious! They are perfect as an appetizer or main course, also great for a party, a buffet, or a cocktail. They have a creamy and stretchy filling and are baked in the oven, but if you prefer, you can also fry them, cook them in the air fryer, or in a pan with a little oil. In any case, they will literally be snapped up!

Ingredients

  • 3.2 oz Mio Gran Ragù Star Extra Gusto
  • 2.6 oz mozzarella
  • 5 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 eggs
  • to taste grated parmesan
  • to taste flour
  • to taste breadcrumbs
  • to taste seed oil (for frying)

Steps

  • The cutlets with meat sauce are very simple and quick to prepare. First, take the slices of sandwich bread and, with a round cutter (mine was 4 inches), cut out two discs from each slice.

  • Take a bread disc, stuff it with some of the Mio Gran Ragù Star Extra Gusto (I used 3 teaspoons), add a light sprinkle of grated parmesan, pieces of mozzarella, and cover with a second bread disc. Then seal the edge with the tines of a fork.

  • Pass the cutlets with meat sauce first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs.

  • Place them on a baking sheet, drizzle some oil over them, and bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 15/20 minutes.
