Tuna Salad

The tuna salad is a fresh, quick, creamy, nutritious, and delicious summer salad with no cooking, a perfect one-dish meal for this heat. In summer, you often don’t feel like cooking, and this is one of my super quick and tasty dinner saviors that I prepare in 5 minutes when I don’t have time or feel like cooking. The tuna salad is too good, great on its own and also perfect to accompany with some slices of bread, ideal also as a rich appetizer or side dish. Try it, I’m sure it will become one of your favorite salads!

Ingredients

  • 9 oz canned tuna in oil (drained weight)
  • 3.5 oz canned sweet corn (drained)
  • 3.5 oz mixed salad greens
  • 3.5 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1.75 oz carrots
  • 1.75 oz pitted olives
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cucumber (small)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste oregano

Steps

  • The tuna salad is very simple and quick to prepare. First, put in a bowl the mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes and chopped cucumber, grated carrots, corn, drained tuna, pitted olives, and give them a quick mix.

  • Season the tuna salad with extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, oregano, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and blend all the ingredients well.

Notes:

The tuna salad can be stored in the fridge for one day. If you don’t want to add mayonnaise, you can omit it without any problem or replace it with yogurt sauce.
