Chocolate Cremino

in , ,

The chocolate cremino is an oven-free dessert (I won’t say no-cook because you need the stove, even if just to melt the chocolate, not to cook it) super quick and delicious, made in 5 minutes with only 2 ingredients (3 if we count the cocoa that is ultimately just for finishing the dessert and preventing it from becoming a bit sticky). Like many, after Easter, I had Easter egg chocolate to use up and used some for making these treats that were literally devoured. I gave this name to the chocolate cremino because it’s super creamy, one bite and you’ll fall in love, it melts in your mouth, but be careful because it can be addictive 😀

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 2 Minutes
  • Portions: 8-inch pan
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 17.6 oz chocolate (mixed types)
  • 1 cup fresh heavy cream
  • to taste unsweetened cocoa powder

Steps

  • ● The chocolate cremino is super easy and quick to prepare, first put the chocolate in a small saucepan (you can use your preference of dark, milk, or white, or even mix different types, choose based on what you like or have), pour in the fresh liquid cream and turn on the heat to the lowest setting, let the chocolate fully melt and combine with the cream, you don’t need to bring it to a boil, the mixture shouldn’t get too hot.

  • ● Transfer the mixture into a mold lined with parchment paper and place the dessert in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours, it should cool and set well, if you prepare it in the evening for the morning, even better.

  • ● After the resting time, gently remove the dessert from the mold and place it on a sheet of parchment paper sprinkled with unsweetened cocoa powder, then garnish the surface of the chocolate cremino with another dusting of cocoa.

  • ● Cut the dessert into pieces and serve.

Notes:

The chocolate cremino can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days, alternatively, you can freeze it for up to 3 months. As mentioned, you can use the chocolate you prefer, and for the cream, I recommend using fresh cream found in the refrigerator section, alternatively, vegetable cream works too.
