The chocolate candy and Nutella cookies are fragrant and delicious shortcrust pastry treats with a creamy filling. I had some leftover chocolate bars from the girls’ birthdays, and I used some to make stuffed cookies that turned out spectacular. Since only using chocolates seemed light (I’m being ironic, obviously, I wanted to make them really special and not dry), I spread some Nutella on the dough, and I must say they are simply out of this world! Delicious on their own and perfect for dunking in milk or cappuccino, these chocolate candy and Nutella cookies will literally be snatched up, you have to try them right away!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil
- 6 chocolate bars
- 2 tbsps Nutella®
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- Half packet baking powder
- to taste vanilla
Steps
The chocolate candy and Nutella cookies are very simple and quick to make, first, make the shortcrust: in a bowl, put the flour, sugar, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and room temperature butter, and mix until you get a crumbly mixture.
Add the vanilla, vegetable oil, and egg, and form a soft, compact dough, roll out the shortcrust between two sheets of parchment paper to form a rectangle about 10×12 inches, slightly less than 1/4 inch thick.
Spread a thin layer of Nutella on the shortcrust, leaving a bit of margin along one edge, place two rows of bars on the opposite side, and, with the help of the underlying parchment paper, form a roll, turning the closure side down.
Place the roll on a baking sheet (keep it on its parchment paper) and bake it in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 35 minutes until golden.
Garnish the dessert with a dusting of powdered sugar and then cut the chocolate candy and Nutella cookies, they should be about 3/4 inch thick.
Advice:
The chocolate candy and Nutella cookies can be stored at room temperature for 5/6 days. Instead of Nutella, you can use your preferred hazelnut spread.
