Crispy sweet chickpeas are extraordinary, fragrant, spicy, and delightful, make plenty as they literally disappear, they are perfect as a snack and ideal for munching on during the Christmas holidays!

Ingredients
- 1 lb canned chickpeas
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsps ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- to taste vanilla
Steps
● Crispy sweet chickpeas are very simple and quick to prepare, first, drain the pre-cooked chickpeas and rinse them well under running water.
● Dry the chickpeas with a cloth, if any skins come off, remove them. Place the chickpeas in a bowl, add cornstarch, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and mix.
● Transfer the chickpeas to a baking sheet, spread them out evenly, and bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30 minutes, they should become crispy.
● Remove the chickpeas from the oven, season with honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, give a good stir, and bake them again at 392°F for another 5 minutes.
● Let the chickpeas cool completely and serve.
Notes:
Crispy sweet chickpeas can be stored at room temperature for 3-4 days. You can flavor them with other spices to taste such as ginger, cloves, nutmeg, or cocoa powder.
