Mini puff pastry toasts are small savory pastries made from puff pastry with a delicious, stringy, and creamy filling. I had a roll of puff pastry to use up, so I decided to make small toasts that I filled in the classic way with cooked ham and cheese. I also added a touch of mayonnaise (which I often use in sandwiches made with white bread) to make them even more delicious, and, needless to say, they were literally gone in a flash! Mini puff pastry toasts are perfect as an appetizer, for a cocktail party, or a tasty second course, ideal for a party or buffet. Of course, you can fill them with the ingredients you prefer, in any case, they will disappear in a blink!

- Cooking methods: Oven, Electric oven, Air frying
- Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients
- 5.3 oz scamorza cheese
- 3.5 oz ham
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Steps
Mini puff pastry toasts are super easy and quick to prepare. First, unroll the puff pastry and spread the mayonnaise on half of it; I used a kitchen brush.
Add some cooked ham, scamorza cheese, more ham, and close the pastry, sealing the edges well.
Brush the pastry with beaten egg and cut it, without separating, into 3 vertical sections and 6 horizontal ones, thus obtaining 18 mini puff pastry toasts.
Bake the mini puff pastry toasts in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 20 minutes; they should be nicely golden.
Notes:
Mini puff pastry toasts can be stored at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. If you don’t want to use mayonnaise, you can replace it with a tablespoon of spreadable cheese or simply omit it.
