  • 7 oz pasta
  • 1.1 lbs broccoli
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2.5 oz gorgonzola
  • 2 tbsps milk
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil (one tablespoon for a light version*)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Steps: How to prepare pasta with broccoli and gorgonzola

  • First, clean and wash the broccoli thoroughly, then boil them in salted water until they are tender but not overcooked.

    In a non-stick frying pan brown the garlic clove with the extra virgin olive oil, then add the drained broccoli and sauté them for a few minutes.

  • In another small pan, put the gorgonzola cut into pieces and the milk and melt over low heat, adding a dash of black pepper and a pinch of salt.

    Meanwhile, as the broccoli are absorbing flavors, cook the pasta in a pot with plenty of salted water.

    Once the pasta is slightly al dente, drain it with a slotted spoon or a skimmer and pour it directly into the pan with the broccoli, add the gorgonzola, mix, and sauté for a few minutes.

    Adjust salt and pepper if necessary and turn off the heat.

  • Serve the Pasta with broccoli and gorgonzola on the table, accompanied by grated Parmesan cheese on the side, which each diner can add to their liking.

Trivia

The strong odor emitted by broccoli during cooking is caused by the sulfur contained in them and can be reduced by adding a few drops of lemon juice to the boiling water.
