Overnight Greek Yogurt Porridge

The overnight Greek yogurt porridge is a healthy and delicious breakfast perfect for those who want to start the day with taste and energy. In fact, it has been my favorite breakfast for a few weeks, just like the light oatmeal tarts.

It’s called overnight because in English it means “during the night”. Indeed, overnight porridge is prepared by mixing oats with milk or even water and leaving it in the fridge all night, so it becomes soft and creamy. In the morning you can customize it as you prefer, with Greek yogurt, with homemade plain yogurt, and then garnish with fresh or dried fruit, with fruit jam, with dark chocolate flakes.

This recipe is a perfect choice for a quick, nutritious, and genuine breakfast. It’s quick because you can prepare it the night before to enjoy it in the morning without wasting time. It is nutritious because, thanks to oats, it is rich in fiber, and Greek yogurt is an excellent source of protein and probiotics. Finally, it is genuine because it is sugar-free and, moreover, unsweetened cocoa is rich in antioxidants that help our body fight free radicals.

Ingredients for Overnight Greek Yogurt Porridge

  • 3 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 1 coffee cup coffee
  • 1 teaspoon erythritol (or stevia)
  • 50 ml coconut drink (or another drink)
  • 125 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • as needed unsweetened cocoa powder

How to Prepare Overnight Greek Yogurt Porridge

In a large cup, I put the oats, pour a cup of sweetened coffee with a couple of teaspoons of erythritol and the coconut drink. I mix well with a spoon, cover with a small plate and place in the fridge overnight, so the oats will be super creamy.

In the morning, I take the cup out of the fridge, add the Greek yogurt, level it well and garnish it with a sprinkle of unsweetened cocoa. Enjoy your breakfast!
