The PIZZA PINWHEELS WITH HAM AND CHEESE are stuffed pizza spirals, very quick and easy to make. Pizza is good no matter how you present it… today I want to tempt you with this simple and fast variation that guarantees great results.
Stuffed pinwheels are a great alternative to classic pizza, perfect for an aperitif with friends, but also as a snack for a quick meal in front of the TV. I chose a filling of ham and cheese but of course you can personalize it based on your preferences or whatever you find in the fridge or pantry.
They are also a great idea to use any leftover pizza dough.

Ingredients
- 1 roll ready-made pizza dough
- 6 slices cooked ham
- 8 slices cheese (Edam, Emmental, Scamorza, mozzarella)
- salt
Tools
- 1 Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- 1 Knife
Steps
Making the pizza pinwheels with ham and cheese is child’s play — easy and super quick.
Roll out the ready-made pizza dough and lightly salt it.
Spread the cooked ham and the cheese slices you’ve chosen over the surface, leaving about 3/8 in free on one side.
Roll the pizza dough as tightly as possible along the long side (this will create more spirals), until you form a long roll.
Cut the roll into slices about 5/8 in thick.
Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, season with a little more salt if desired, and bake in a preheated conventional oven at 356°F for 25 minutes, or until they are nicely golden.
When ready, remove your pizza pinwheels with ham and cheese from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
STORAGE
If you don’t eat them right away or want to make a larger batch, there’s no problem: once cooked and cooled you can freeze them and take them out as needed.
