The PUFF PASTRY AND NUTELLA PUMPKINS are cute and indulgent little treats, perfect to serve on Halloween night, able to turn the holiday so loved by American children into a cheerful and fun moment for everyone. Because of how easy they are to make, these sweet little pumpkins can be prepared together with the kids, who can get ready for the night of ghosts (and treats) by getting their hands in the dough themselves, proud to then show their creations to friends and family.

The goodness of these cookies lies in the crisp puff pastry and, of course, the creamy and delicious Nutella, which manages to make everyone smile on any occasion. What are you waiting for? Find pumpkin cookie cutters (they are easy to find online or in any kitchenware store) and get to work to make treats so good they’re scary…

PREPARATION PUFF PASTRY AND NUTELLA PUMPKINS

  • The preparation of the PUFF PASTRY AND NUTELLA PUMPKINS is very easy and quick.

Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and, using a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter, cut out many pumpkin shapes. Rework the scraps of pastry to get more pumpkins.

For half of them you should press all the way through to get the perfect carved pumpkin shape. For the other half you should only cut out the outline, as these will be the base you use to spread the Nutella on.

  • Place a heaping teaspoon of Nutella on the uncut pastry base and close with the cutout pastry. Seal the edges of the pumpkins with a fork, transfer them to a tray and put them in the freezer for 20 minutes.

  • After 20 minutes place them, spaced apart, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them with the beaten egg and bake in a preheated, conventional oven at 356°F for 15 minutes or until golden.

  • Remove the puff pastry and Nutella pumpkins from the oven and let them cool completely.
