The GREEN BEAN AND HAM SAVORY TART is a simple and hearty dish, perfect to serve as an appetizer or main course depending on portions, to take on a picnic or to include in a cool summer buffet. In every case you will appreciate the freshness of the tart, which is indulgent and straightforward at the same time, perfect to enjoy hot or warm, as you prefer.
The preparation, as you can see, is very quick and does not require particular culinary skills. The combination of green beans with ham and the egg-and-Parmesan cream is truly perfect. Be careful to leave the green beans a bit crisp, so that, besides flavor, the tart will be perfect in texture too: from the creaminess of the filling to the softness of the ham and the crispness of the green beans, a true symphony for the palate. Try it and let me know!

- 1 Baking pan 8-inch
- 1 Bowl
Steps
Preparing the GREEN BEAN AND HAM SAVORY TART is child’s play.
Trim the green beans and rinse them. Bring plenty of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 10 minutes. Then drain them into cold water to stop the cooking.
In a pan add a drizzle of oil and sauté the well-drained green beans for 5 minutes with the cooked ham cut into small cubes. Adjust salt, turn off the heat and let cool.
In a bowl quickly whisk the eggs with the milk, a pinch of salt and a grating of pepper.
Unroll the sheet of pâte brisée and line a baking pan keeping the parchment paper in which it is wrapped.
Prick the base with a fork and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs. Fill it with the green beans and ham distributed evenly over the entire surface. Finish by pouring the egg mixture.
Bake the green bean and ham savory tart in a preheated conventional oven at 356°F for 40 minutes. If the surface begins to brown or dry out too much, cover it with parchment paper.
Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Then unmold and serve sliced.
STORAGE
You can store the GREEN BEAN AND HAM SAVORY TART at room temperature for 1 day. Alternatively, place it in the refrigerator well covered or cut it into slices, wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze. This way it will keep for up to 1 month and when needed you just need to heat it in the oven for a few minutes and it will be like freshly baked.
