Quick Puff Pastry Snacks

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 5.3 oz cream cheese
  • to taste milk (for brushing)
  • cherry tomatoes
  • brie
  • olives
  • tomato paste
  • Tropea red onion
  • pesto
  • anchovies in oil

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F and lay a sheet of puff pastry on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Evenly spread the cream cheese over the puff pastry.

    Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press lightly to seal the edges.

    Brush the surface of the puff pastry with a little milk using a pastry brush.

    Using a sharp knife, cut 7 strips from the short side and 8 from the long side of the puff pastry.

    Use a bottle cap or similar object to slightly press down the center of each square formed by the puff pastry strips; pierce each square with a fork and fill with cherry tomatoes (previously seasoned with oil, salt, oregano), brie cheese, olives, tomato paste, pesto, thinly sliced Tropea onion, anchovy fillets.

Bake the filled puff pastry snacks in the preheated oven at 356°F for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Once cooked, allow them to cool slightly and serve as a delicious appetizer!
