Soft lemon bites
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients RECIPE SOFT LEMON BITES

  • 1 2/3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 1/3 tablespoon Limoncello
  • 6 tablespoon Granulated sugar (+ 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 organic lemon (zest only)
  • 1 teaspoon instant baking powder
  • as needed vegetable oil (for frying)
  • as needed Powdered sugar (for decoration)

Tools RECIPE SOFT LEMON BITES

  • Pan
  • Absorbent paper

Preparation

  • In a large bowl,

    pour the sifted flour with the baking powder.
    Add also the sugar, the slightly beaten egg yolks, the milk and the Limoncello.

  • With a handheld whisk, mix all the ingredients well to obtain a sort of smooth and homogeneous batter, to which you will finally add the zest of the organic lemon.

  • Place a pot on the heat with plenty of vegetable oil and once the optimal temperature is reached (about 338°F) start pouring a little batter at a time to create the soft lemon bites.

  • Let the soft little fritters fragrant with lemon brown on all sides, draining them once cooked on appropriate kitchen absorbent paper.

  • Then place them on the serving plate, sprinkle them with powdered sugar and serve immediately!

    Enjoy these fried sweets that are excellent not only for Carnival and good both hot and cold!!!
