Preparation of the oven-baked boneless turkey thigh with potatoes

To make this recipe you can use either the leg, the thigh, or both and debone them yourself, or buy the meat already prepared, sliced or in pieces.

  • To prepare the oven-baked boneless turkey thigh with potatoes, start by removing the large central bone from the thigh, using a sharp knife if needed. Then cut the meat into medium-sized pieces or slices.

  • Place the meat in a roasting pan and add the peeled, rinsed potatoes cut into large pieces. Add the sliced onion, the oil, the wine, the salt and the aromatics (pepper, rosemary, garlic, bay leaf, sage),

  • or do as I do and season everything with the roasting seasoning mix, which already contains salt. Toss and bake in a preheated oven on the middle rack (or slightly lower) for about 1 hour, stirring gently from time to time but being careful not to break the potatoes. Remove from the oven, let rest covered for 15 minutes and serve.

  • Our oven-baked boneless turkey thigh with potatoes is ready — just bring it to the table and enjoy.

Storage notes and tips

I recommend cooking the turkey with its skin on; the dish will be more flavorful in the end.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator, well sealed in an airtight container, for 24 hours, but should be reheated thoroughly before eating.
