Pasta with bell pepper pesto and tuna is a first course dish that I love to prepare in the summer when the bell peppers are at their peak ripeness.
These days the sweltering heat continues even though the forecast says it should change tomorrow and bring cooler air.
Summer is almost over, and today I took advantage of it to prepare this first course that I really like 🙂
I had prepared some bell pepper pesto because I wanted to use it to dress the pasta, and to make the dish even tastier, I decided to add some plain tuna.
I used plain tuna because the bell pepper pesto already contained oil, and I didn’t want it to become too greasy.
To prepare the pesto, I used red bell peppers, but you can also use yellow or green ones.
I used sedani pasta, but you can choose other types as you prefer.
It’s a delicious first course to die for because it’s light and fills you up without being too heavy 😉
And it can be made quickly with just a few ingredients.
P.S.: I also suggest these dishes and a savory pie:
