Ingredients to make air fryer chicken wings
- 2.2 lb chicken wings (already cleaned and separated)
- 3 1/3 tbsp white wine (about 50 ml (≈1.7 fl oz))
- 1 sprig rosemary (optional)
- 3 leaves bay leaves
- 1 clove garlic
- to taste roasting herbs/seasoning (includes salt)
- 4 sprays extra-virgin olive oil (a light spray or drizzle)
Tools
- Air fryers
- Bowl
Preparation
To make pan-cooked chicken wings you can buy wings already cleaned and cut in half or buy them whole. In that case you will need to clean them and often flame them to remove any remaining feathers.
Once the wings are ready, gather them in a bowl and add the peeled and smashed garlic, the bay leaves, the rosemary and the roasting herbs/seasoning (which already contains salt).
Drizzle with the wine, mix and if you have time, let them marinate for 20 minutes in the fridge for an extra touch of flavor and aroma; otherwise skip this step. Arrange the wings on the air fryer rack and cook at 392°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, turning the wings once or twice by moving the basket during cooking. Once cooked, remove them from the basket and enjoy.
Air fryer chicken wings should be served hot and enjoyed immediately so they stay tender and you can’t stop at one. If you need to plan ahead, cook them for 15 minutes, remove, cover with plastic wrap and finish cooking just before serving.
Storage and tips
Store leftover air fryer chicken wings in an airtight container for up to 24 hours and reheat before enjoying.
