Steps to make the Christmas savory pastries
To prepare the Christmas savory pastries, lay out 3 slices of sandwich bread on a surface and spread a thin layer of cream cheese on them. Place them, with the coated side onto a plate filled with pistachio flour, and press gently so that the pistachio flour adheres evenly.
Lay out the other 3 slices on the work surface and spread another layer of cream cheese. Fill one slice with salmon, one slice with ham and cheese, and one with mortadella and cheese. Cover with the slices coated in pistachios (pistachio side up) and press gently to combine.
Using a cutter of about 1.6 or 2 inches, cut out your little pastries and decorate them with mayonnaise piped from a piping bag, olives and pomegranate seeds.
The savory pastries are ready to be served. They can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours covered with plastic wrap.
