- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- juice of one lemon
- zest of 2 lemons
- 2 tsp baking powder
- as needed powdered sugar

Before preparing the recipe, remove the butter from the fridge to soften.
Grate the zest of the two lemons and squeeze the juice of just one.
Combine the two ingredients in a bowl.
Pour the sugar and softened butter into a bowl, beat with electric whisks for a few minutes.
Add the egg, work with the whisks for another couple of minutes.
Pour in the juice and zest, mix with the whisks.
Gradually incorporate the flour mixed with the baking powder, start kneading with your hands.
You will get a soft dough, wrap it in cling film and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
After the time has passed, take the dough and start forming small balls the size of a walnut. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put them in the fridge for an hour.
Preheat the static oven to 340°F, take the balls and roll them in powdered sugar.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
