CHEESE AND COOKED HAM BREAD baked with the bread machine

in ,

Not long ago I made cheese and cooked ham bread with the bread machine and it was an unexpected revelation for me. I didn’t think this appliance could be so practical, fast and above all fun. I think I made so much of that bread and more that I even lost count.

While I was thinking about what to create next, I opened the fridge and grabbed the first two things I found, cheese and cooked ham, and without effort I pulled out a rustic loaf.
In a short time and without much effort, you obtain excellent results with the bread machine; it practically does everything by itself: it kneads, it proves, it bakes — I just have to weigh the ingredients and press a button.

This cheese and cooked ham bread is truly delicious and I hope you have fun baking with this exquisite recipe!! But don’t stop here, try the turmeric spike bread which you can find by clicking the link.

  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 12 People
  • Cooking methods: Bread machine
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups Manitoba (strong) flour (or 00 flour)
  • 3 cups 00 flour
  • 1 1/4 cups water (about 300 ml)
  • 1 1/3 tsp fresh baker's yeast (half a 25 g cake (about 12.5 g). If using active dry yeast, use about 1 1/3 tsp)
  • 2 oz cooked ham (cut into small dice)
  • 1 oz Emmental cheese (cheese cut into small dice)
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Preparation

  • 1 – Place the ingredients in the bread machine pan following this order:
First the water – then the flour – sugar – the yeast crumbled in the center – the salt on one side (so it does not come into direct contact with the yeast).
2 – Program the bread machine for the white bread or basic bread setting, the program that lasts about 3 hours. Set the loaf size to approximately 1 lb 10 oz (750 g) and select a medium crust.
3 – At this point start the machine and wait for the beep that signals when you can add the cheese and cooked ham filling.
4 – At the end of the kneading and baking process, remove the cheese and cooked ham bread from the pan — super tasty. Store it or freeze it, if you haven’t finished it before serving it at the table.
