Ingredients

  • 2 7/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 + 2 tbsp cup granulated sugar
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • 3/4 + 2 tbsp cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3.5 oz milk chocolate (or dark chocolate)
  • 1 1/4 cups strawberries (cleaned and cut into pieces)
  • vanilla extract
  • juice of 1/2 lemon (about 1 tbsp)

Steps

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs for a long time with a pinch of salt and the sugar until you obtain a very voluminous and fluffy mixture.

    Add the vanilla extract and gradually fold the oil and yogurt into the egg mixture, stirring gently.

  • Sift the flour together with the baking powder, then add them little by little to the batter, mixing carefully to avoid lumps.

    Sprinkle the strawberry pieces with the lemon juice, then pat them dry gently.

  • Fold in the chopped strawberries and the chopped chocolate, mixing gently to distribute them evenly.

  • Butter and flour a 9.5-10.25 inch bundt pan, pour in the batter and decorate the surface with some strawberries and coarsely chopped chocolate (or chocolate chips).

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 338°F for about 50 minutes, performing the classic toothpick test. Remove from the oven, let cool completely and transfer to a serving platter.

  • The chocolate and strawberry bundt cake is ready to be served, dusted as desired with a little powdered sugar.
