The cream with plant-based drink is a basic preparation without eggs and dairy, perfect for those following a vegetarian diet or for allergic and intolerant people. Great for both preparing single-serving cups or filling cakes and pastries. To prepare this cream with plant-based drink, I used oat plant-based drink, and although I usually consume it for breakfast, its flavor in the cream did not fully satisfy me. Therefore, I suggest replacing it with almond or hazelnut plant-based drink. But if you like the taste of oat plant-based drink as is, also in the cream, then go ahead.
If you need a vegan cream, just eliminate the teaspoon of honey.

- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or seeds from half a pod)
- 1 tsp honey

Steps
Cut the vanilla pod and take the seeds. Boil the milk with the vanilla (or with the vanilla extract). In a bowl, sift the cornstarch with the sugar. Add a little plant-based drink gradually and mix to obtain a smooth cream. Then add all the plant-based drink gradually, continuing to mix. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan, add the honey, and bring it to the heat, cooking for five minutes, allowing the cream to thicken. Cover the cream with plastic wrap in contact to prevent a skin from forming and let it cool or warm slightly depending on the usage.
