Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- as needed chocolate spread (Pan di Stelle)
- 1 egg yolk
- as needed powdered sugar (for dusting)
Steps
To prepare the puff pastry ring with Pan di Stelle cream, start by placing the spread in a bain-marie to soften it.
Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and lay it out on your work surface.
Spread a generous, even layer of the spread over the entire surface.
Roll the pastry fairly tightly and press lightly to prevent the spread from leaking during baking.
Place in the refrigerator for about ten minutes. After the resting time, remove it from the refrigerator and slice into spirals about 3/4 inch thick using a smooth, sharp knife.
Take a round baking pan lined with parchment paper and arrange the spirals side by side around the edge of the pan to form a ring.
Brush the surface with the beaten egg yolk.
Bake at 374°F (convection) for about 15 minutes.
Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar and… enjoy!
